A spa and beautiful setting for Nikki, to unwind, and ponder what to do. Damon, husband, embellisher, having to move, she paid the money, so he wouldn't go to jail. Now, it seems like she is in jail, with the tension, arguments. We have Napa Valley, wine and gourmet foods, Roger and Liz, enjoying the day. A call from Judy, where they were going to stay later, asking them to come now, a murder. A great plot, as you try to figure out, and enjoying the process of who it was and why. Another delightful read, that captures you from the beginning.Product details

What do you do when you have more suspects than you can count??? Winston and Liz must find the correct person quickly before someone else gets killed. Well, really Liz must find the person and Winston must protect her while she is doing this. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to those who enjoy the hunt.
When someone is murdered at the new spa Liz asked by the police chief to help out. She works at it methodically and things come together to figure it out. You will want to read from start to finish any books by Dianne Harman.
This book was an intriguing mystery involving a reunion of college roommates, a winery owner and two spas. As the story starts with the murder of one of the college roommates, everyone becomes a suspect.
As the police chief and Liz Langley work together they are able to help solve.
A great read for those who like the cozy mysteries.
Murder in Calistoga is a wonderful book, a real page turner. There were quite a few suspects but I figured it out more towards the end...patting myself on the back.. Diane Harman is a wonderful story teller, author. I can hardly wait for her next book to come out.
While there is a long and distinguished tradition in mysteries of civilians helping the police, I can't imagine a police chief handing over control of a murder investigation to someone he just met. Add to that stiff dialogue with clumsy exposition and careless mistakes (Jerry has to go meet with Jerry), well, you get the picture. Caveat emptor.
I like how Liz and Roger her friends and the police work together to solve what ever mystery there is.
I like that Winston her dog also helps. I like how you never know whose till the end. Plus all the clues to eliminate each subject on the list it's fun. Can't wait for the next book.
Liz Lucas and her husband Roger were celebrating their Anniversary in thenNapa Valley and going to Liz's friend Juday hotel and spa grand opening. Well you guessed it there was murder! But boy was this a fun read and lots of twists and turns and good food! You can believe it's worth reading!
